Extracurricular Choirs at Erie Middle School
Wells & Main A Cappella Choir
Wells & Main, or WAM, is a select choir of 8th graders that are interested in A Cappella pop singing. Students audition during class by singing "Aura Lee" (see Honor/All State Choir Auditions for practice tracks) and demonstrating positive behavior in class time. This group of 16-24 students may also have the opportunity to travel to local elementary schools and retirement homes for outreach, and will also perform at the EMS Open House, 5th Grade Info night, and 8th Grade Bridge to High School. Wells & Main meets Wednesdays before school, 7:25-7:55 am. |
Vox Cambiata
Formerly known as "MAN Choir," this hilarious and rowdy group of 7th and 8th grade changing voices meets Fridays before school, 7:25-7:55 am. Students in this choir are NOT required to take Class Choir or audition, but are expected to attend concerts.
CHSAA Eligibilty rules apply for concerts. Students with more than one F will not be allowed to perform.
Tiger Lily Select Treble Choir Tiger Lily is an auditioned Women's Choir for 7th and 8th Grade treble voices who love to sing high-level music with wonderful people! Tiger Lily meets after school on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:00, and students who are also involved in school athletics are able to do both activities! Auditions are usually held in the first few weeks of school, and require:
